(Yellow Flags)

Procedure
for
DLC (Library of Congress) 
and
pcc (Program for Cooperative Cataloging)
DLC code is found in the 040 field
pcc is found in 042 field


Select the Cataloging wizard on the tool bar. From the menu in the left column, click on Titles and under that Modify Title . A screen will open. (The index line should be set to Item ID (Barcode). If it is not, click on the arrow and change the setting to Item ID. Scan the barcode of the book to retrieve the bibliographic record. Scroll down to the 040 field, "Cataloging source" to check for DLC/DLC in the 040 or pcc in the 042.

Click on Save in the tool bar at the bottom of the page to save edits

The box after permanent should have a check mark.  

Click on Save in the tool bar at the bottom of the page to save edits

Update the holdings in the OCLC database.  The 994 field indicates the method for updating:

    994     92|bTJC 
            These records have been updated by Yankee Book Pedlar
            through their tapeloading  process.
            Do not update, but pencil a u in the back cover of the book.

   994     Z0|bTJC or any other variation of the code
            Open an Internet Explorer session and go to:

            Click on the "OCLC Holdings" in the right column.
            Click "Start" in the pop-up window
            Wand in the barcode (This page can be left open to add successive barcodes)
            Pencil a u in the back cover of the book
