TIFF CONVERSION TO JPG PROCEDURES FOR CDRI PROJECT

· Open Adobe Photoshop.
· Go to File on top toolbar; click on Open.
· Click to open on next numerical sequence of tif image that does not have an accompanying jpg.
· Go to Image on top toolbar; click on Image Size.
· If the image is vertical in orientation, go to Document Sice box and specify 6 inches in Height box; if image is horizontal in orientation, go to Document Size box and specify 6 inches in the Width box. For either, In the "resolution" box, specify 600 as the resolution. Click OK.

· Go to File on top toolbar; click on Save As.
· Name the file xxxxxxxxat600dpi6in.tif, and click Save.
· Under "Tiff Options" box, choose IBM PC. Click OK.

· Go to File; choose Save As.
· Choose file type of jpeg from Format; click Save.
· At the JPEG Options box, choose quality Maximum at 10; click OK.

· Go to Image; click on Image Size.
· If the image is vertical in orientation, go to Document Size box and specify 6 inches in Height box; if image is horizontal in orientation, go to Document Size box and specify 6 inches in the Width box. For either, In the "resolution" box, specify 150 as the resolution. Click OK.

· Go to File; choose Save As.
· Name file as xxxxxxxx.jpg
· At the next menu, choose quality Maximum at 10; click Save.

Finished jpgs should be saves to the O:convertedjpgs folder. All files created in the process can be deleted. Never delete the original tiff file.
