Discharged Items with Overdue Fines

Patrons may pay fines owed to any library at any library
(exception - bill for replacement of a book must be paid at home library)

Overdues beyond grace period (10 days)

           STATUS ALERT!: User is DELINQUENT
            STATUS ALERT!: User has unpaid bills

            amount billed: $3.00
                    date due: 6/29/1998,23:59

If the patron wants to pay the fine:

1. Click pay user on keypad

2.  a.  If the patron wants to pay all fines that s/he owes

• type total in the first blank on the record
• select payment type as cash or check
• press enter

    b.  If the patron wants to pay only part of the fines that s/he owes

• go to each individual fine that the patron wants to pay
• type in that amount in the blank
• type payment type for each fine to be paid

3.  Ask patron to sign the fine sheet on the clipboard in the cash drawer (include SSN of the person whose fine was paid)

4. Fill out the rest of the line of information

5.  Put the money in the cash tray

If the patron does not want to pay the fine:

Patron will receive a notice in the mail of the amount owed
