Many of our patrons use the "print" icon in the browser tool bar at the top of the screen when they want to print from Webcat. This woks just fine for regular web pages that they would like to print, but may cause problems in ACORN.
Why?
The new Webcat uses "frames" to display information. Since the frames do not have the ability to scroll, it is not obious that frames are being used. However, the browser "knows" the pages is in frames. It cannot print a frame unless patron tells the browser which one to print.
That is accomplished by using the print/capture option in ACORN to get the information out of the frame and then use the conventional print button from the Web browser.
PRINTING DIRECTIONS
Select the "Print/Capture" button on the top right side of the screen
Select the gray "Print" button
Patron will see a formatted page to print titled "ITEM REPORT"
NOW the patron should use the "PRINT" icon or button in the WEB BROWSER
