What is WebSPIRS?

WebSPIRS is a particular type of "interface" for several databases.  When we use the ATLA religion database, we are using the WebSPIRS interface.

What is the advantage of WebSPIRS?

It allows users to search serveral databases at the same time using one set of procedures and search methods.  The interface has an easily recognizable "look", so that a person will be able to identify having used it before.

What do I need to know about WebSPIRS?

It depends on what kind of searching you are doing.  Suggestions:

Basic searching

Searching for a word in a particular field (book review, author, etc.)

Using multiple databases

How can I learn all this?
