  If it is on the low-circulation list, it is already a good candidate. (You may decide, however, that it is important enough to remain in the stacks).

  • Preservation. Is the book in poor condition? Should it be recommended for repair? Plastic Bag?
    
  • Is the book part of a set?
    • Shelved  together
    • Shelved separately

• Withdraw

  • Is the book one of multiple copies-- exact edition?
    
  • Is the book in very poor condition?
    
  • Has the book been photocopied by the ATLA Preservation Project?
    • If so, do we have it?
    • Do we need to order it?
      
  • If the book is not an ATLA Fiche or Film, is it widely available by ILL or Document Delivery?
    
  • Is the there a copy of the book in another division? Communicate with the bibliographer in that division about their copy. Always check the physical condition of all pieces.
    
  • Is the book part of a set that has been shelved separately or together?
    • Shelved together
    • Shelved separately
