PARTHENON PRESS

Under an arrangement between the Divinity Library and Parthenon Press, we will loan them books that they will take apart and use to reprint copies of the book. They then provide the Divinity Library with a paperback copy and a hardback copy of the book to add back into our collection.

Our current contact is:  Tambra Womack [twomack@umpublishing.org]

Communication should go through the Collection Development Librarian.  The librarian will determine if the item can be made available to Parthenon for this purpose.

The item will be retrieved, charged to self, and then recalled for "PARTHENON" (that is the actual user ID), and then discharged and put on the HOLD shelf.

If the book is charged out, call the Parthenon contact and ask if they want us to recall it. If they do want us to recall it, then find out their time frame so that you can know if a regular recall will work. If Parthenon needs it quickly, then call the patron who has the book checked out to see if s/he can return it sooner.

When someone from Parthenon comes to pick the book up, charge it to "PARTHENON". That is the actual user ID that you should charge it to.  These instructions will be written in a note on the book, so that the student who charges it out will know what to do.

Parthenon will deliver two paperback copies of the reproduced book to the library.  These titles will be given to MAT. The old book record should then be withdrawn from the collection, and the new books should be given to Eileen to create a new record and add to the collection.
