1. Write down or copy the control number of the record to which you plan to transfer another item.
2. Pull up the record for the item to be
transferred.

Maintain
Existing Titles wizard
FIND
or BROWSE ITEM etc.
If you plan to transfer the entire title, make sure you write down the OCLC number so you can later go to OCLC and delete the library's holdings symbol.
If you only plan to transfer a copy or call number, make sure you click on the appropriate item.
3. Click on the Transfer Item
icon on your toolbar.
or use
pull-down menu at the top: Command, Item, Transfer
4. Select Copy, Vol./Call, or Title at the top of the screen next to "transferring".
If you choose Title, you will move all item records to the new title. Make sure this is what you want to do.
5. Under "Identify Destination Volume or Title", type or paste the barcode, call number or control number of the volume or record to which you want to transfer the item(s). If you choose to use the call number, make sure you type it in with the correct spacing. Do not include the "|z" as part of the call number. Use a space instead.
6. If you're moving all the items to the new title, click on "remove title if no volumes/copies left".
7. Click on "GO" or press "ENTER".
8. Verify that you're transferring your item to the correct title or call number. You can do this by looking over the bibliographic information presented on this screen. Click on "Transfer".
9. Click on "CLOSE".
