Charging Items from the Annex
(last content update 6/7/00)
NOTE:
Annex materials that may be used
ONLY in the library have a piece of paper with a red dot and the message: Library use only.
Do not use the following directions for in-library-use items. Tell the patron
that the item may be used in the library then returned to circulation
- Discharge the book from the hold shelf
- Select charge and slide patron's ID
- BEFORE scanning the barcode, select the Special Due Date
wizard in the charging screen.

- Set the due date for 2 weeks from today. NOTE:
We hope to have Library Technology change the loan period in the future, but
follow these procedures for now.
- Type in the override and click ok. If you do not
have access to the over-ride code, you will have to ask a circulation
supervisor or the Public Services Librarian for Assistance.
- Scan the barcode.
- In some cases, the computer may request the override
again.
- Do not tear off the routing paper or "wrapper". This assures that it will
go back to the annex when the item is returned.
