What to do:
1) Look for a white sheet of paper stuck in the book. It should have the patrons name and contact information on it.
2) Call or use Pegaus e-mail to let the patron know the TITLE, AUTHOR and that the item will be held for ONE WEEK then returned to the annex. (include this in e-mail or phone message)
3) After you have notified the patron, write your initials on the wrapper, along with "notified patron" and the date. It should look like:NOTE: Currently only the 2 circulation workstations have Pegasus e-mail accounts. We do not use personal web mail accounts to notify patrons. If the contact information requires an e-mail notice, it will have to be sent from one of those stations. Only one Pegasus account can run at a time, so only one of the two desk attendants can work on sending notices at a time.
